The cores are = =20 manufactured to the AL values listed; = =20 the permeability for each material is for reference = =20 only. In all cases, the AL values are = =20 based on a peak AC flux density of 10 guass (1mT) = =20 at a frequency of 10kHz. Measurements made under = =20 other conditions will produce results in accordance = =20 with the magnetic curves shown in the Percent=20 Initial Permeability vs. Peak AC Flux Density = Graph.

The toroidal cores = =20 are tested with an evenly-spaced full single-layer = =20 winding in order to minimize leakage effects. Iron = =20 powder cores tested with a small number of turns = =20 which are not evenly distributed will produce = =20 higher inductance readings than expected. The E = =20 cores are tested with 100 turns.

The Magnetic = =20 Characteristic curves shown are have a typical = =20 tolerance of =B110%. The curves on Core Loss = =20 characteristics have a typical tolerance of = =20 = =B115%.
